Titled Ocicats!

Since the beginning of June, 2005, Ocicats have been awarded championship status and the first Ocicat to be awarded a title was Premier Thickthorn Malva,  blue spotted Male Neuter, born 26.06.04 and owned by Sue Davidson who won his Third Premier Certificate at the East Sussex Cat Club Show on Saturday, July16th, 2005, less than two months after Ocicats started showing with Championship Status.  More Premiers have followed in his footsteps (see the table towards the bottom of the Shows page on this site)  and the First Champion, Winnothdale Moele, won her Third CC at the Chester and North Wales Cat Show on 13th August, 2005. (Jon Edge sends his thanks to Jacky Atkinson, the breeder, for all her help and support over the last year).

Classic Tabby pattern Ocicats are very rare in this country, so for those of you who have never seen any:  We proudly introduce Barry and Freddy:-))))))

Classic Tabby pattern Ocicats come about when you mate a Spotted Tabby Ocicat (which all the spotted's are) who carries the gene for the classic pattern, with another Spotted Tabby Ocicat who also carries the gene for the classic pattern.  They are very beautiful and the markings are fascinating.  There is a 'butterfly' on the back of the neck and 'oysters' and 'swirls' on the sides.  They have spotted tummies, and the same markings on the face as the Spotted's.
